Intern Teacher

Full Time: 2021-2022 school year, starting August 16, 2021 

Are you beginning your career as an educator? This position is the perfect start. Spruce Street School is looking for a dynamic, beginning educator who values social-emotional teaching and learning as well as academic teaching and learning. A qualified candidate will have experience working with children and be interested in a year-long mentored teaching experience (teaching credential preferred). In addition, the candidate must be interested in working in a small, diverse community where the mission of the school is purposefully put into action every day. This position is salaried ($35,000) and includes benefits. Teachers of color are encouraged to apply.

Extended Day Teacher

Part time starting in September with option for ongoing employment. College students welcome.

Are you interested in working with talented teachers? If you answered yes, then this could be an excellent position for you! Spruce Street School is currently hiring teachers for its after school program.

Job Description: Teacher is responsible for developing project ideas for daily or weekly theme-based projects for 5-10 year old students. Teacher will work with a team of teachers to meet the needs of 50 students in a diverse after-school program. Teacher will be responsible for the direct supervision of children.

Hours: Weekdays 2:00 - 6:00 PM, 2-5 days per week. Must be available Wednesdays for staff meetings.
